An update from Tony in his adventure

Tony Zahra and the Kakoda Track

My epic journey across the Kokoda Trail in 2016 was such a moving experience. It is very hard to imagine how the troops survived the conditions of war. I learnt how the body and mind can overcome pain and emotions. Many thanks to Hobbit and Wayne for sharing their wealth of knowledge and experience. I am lucky to be the first person to cross the Trail as an above the knee amputee, unassisted and in a world record time. Many thanks to the people past and present who helped the Australian Soldiers during time of war and peace.
